New on the Bay

While prowling the Sausalito waterfront we came across this sleek new 50-footer recently delivered to a Bay Area owner. She’s a Vismara 50 built in Italy.  

Sleek at the dock, she’ll surely be a pleasure to sail on the Bay.

Our understanding is that the same owner will have a G4 foiling catamaran from DNA Performance Sailing in the Netherlands landing in the Bay Area sometime soon.

Rumor has it we’ll be seeing more big-boat foiling on the Bay when a foiling G4 is delivered later this year.

According to the DNA website they "set out to create a boat which would deliver the ultimate sailor reward with a rush of adrenaline." However, in addition to a fully foiling adrenaline rush, it also offers a full interior, queen-sized beds and other amenities, making for an interesting combo of speed and comfort.
 
We’ve seen foiling kiteboards, windsurfers, Moths and the America’s Cup boats on the Bay. Will we be seeing more in the future?
